BIRDS
On bright CLT mornings, the woods are filled with the cacophony of birds that inhabit the region. Winter afternoons will find an abundance of the Black Capped Chickadees, Winter Wrens and occasional Snow Buntings. Spring evenings might reveal the haunting call of a Barred Owl or the winged drumbeat of a Ruffed Grouse. A trip to the river on a summer afternoon might yield a sighting of our favorite fowl, the Common Merganser, and her abundant brood. All in all, the diversity of woodland and river habitat lure a great variety of winged creatures.
